The 2006 3 Lari is part of a series of Non-circulating coins struck from 2006-2006. Designated as a Business (MS) strike, this coin is made of Copper-nickel.
Obverse: Three oil wells situated on the platform passing through the Caspian Sea are depicted in relief in the center of the circular composition. The sea is symbolically represented with wavy lines. Mirrored and textured surfaces make a composition of the rising sun . Date (2006) is engraved on the textured surface. At the top of the composition there is a bilingual circular embossed legend: "საქართველოს ეროვნული ბანკი" (in Georgian) and "NATIONAL BANK OF GEORGIA" (in English). Abbreviation (BTC) and stylized wings on the bottom
Reverse: A map of the region in the center . Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey with a matte surface, separated by borders. On the coins the path of the pipelines are outlined with an embossed line and the cities of Baku, Tbilisi, and Ceyhan with relief circles. At the top of the composition there is a bilingual (Georgian and English) legend "ბაქო-თბილისი-ჯეიჰანი" “BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN” . In the lower part of the composition, the denomination numeral "3" and a bilingual legend: "ლარი" (in Georgian) and "LARI" (in English)
