Obverse: Portrait on the left of Prince Jean (1921-), Grand Duke heir of Luxembourg. On the left the crowned escutcheon of the Bourbons, on the right the escutcheon of Luxembourg surmounted by a crested helmet. Initials of the engraver under the cut of the neck. Around the legend in Luxembourg and the face value between two points to the exergue.
Reverse: Warrior (depicting John the Blind) riding to the right with a crested helmet, brandishing a sword with his right hand and covering himself with a shield with the arms of Luxembourg. Behind him is a banner inscribed with its motto. Around the legend in Luxembourg, the name of the engraver in words at 5 o'clock and below the date of death of John the Blind and the date of issue of the coin.
